Job Summary
This role is to manage and execute the implementation of events and communications activities for Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) in line with MTSFB’s strategic objectives of enhancing its standing as a Standardisation Development Organisation (SDO) locally and internationally.
Some of the expected outcomes of this role would include but not limited to: planning and execution of events and communications activities, management of MTSFB’s website and social media channels to increase MTSFB’s digital presence.
The Executive, Events & Communications reports to the Manager, Value Creation Department.
Job Responsibilities
- To assist in the planning of internal and external communication and stakeholder management plans to support the organisation’s program.
- Carry out promotional activities to create a strong public image of MTSFB as well as to contribute value to the organisation, in three key areas namely marketing, branding and technical code adoption.
- Provide coordination support to internal departments in managing events, roadshows, webinars or outreach promotional activities.
- Support the company’s digital marketing campaign and content creation by applying suitable multimedia tools and graphics.
- Management of MTSFB’s website in terms of updates, event / digital calendar, announcements and others.
- Management of MTSFB’s social media accounts, newsletters and management of enquiries through MTSFB’s communication channels.
- Stay up-to-date with current communications trends.
- To carry out other functions as may be determined by the Management from time to time.
Qualification & Work Experience
- Degree/Diploma in related fields (Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, etc.)
- Required: Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in graphic design, online content creation, video production and website management are required.
- Working experience in analytics is an added advantage.
Technical Competencies/Skills
- Knowledge and working experience on business software e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Workplace.
- Knowledge and experience in online content creation and website management.
- Communicates effectively with the team in the achievement of deliverables.
- Event management skills
- Experience working in productions of publications is an added advantage.
- Tactful problem solver with ability to recognize potential problem areas against the plan and identifies and implements alternative solutions

Job Summary
This role is to plan, manage and execute the implementation of all matters related to the development of technical codes and its activities to facilitate the provision of fixed & wireless network facilities, services, and applications.
Some of the expected outcome of this role would include but not limited to facilitating and guide the Working Groups with the deployment of Technical Codes in line with national initiative or strategic plan as well as technology roadmap.
The Engineer reports to the Unit Leads – Network Infra & Device Certification Unit or Technology Services & Applications Unit.
Job Responsibilities
- Acts as MTSFB technical expert and counsellor to one or more Working Groups:
- the main reference for the organisation on technology-related matters
- to facilitate and guide the Working Group with the development of Technical Codes in line with the national strategic plans (JENDELA, 5G, etc) for submission to MCMC for the purposes of registration registration under section 95 of the CMA 1998
- to maintain the frequency of Working Group Meetings and activities to be consistent with the Reference Panel & MTSFB Board’s expectations.
- Plan, manage and monitor the Working Group end-to-end activities and its progress to proactive placement and securing MTSFB activities and in ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the Technical Code developed.
- Supporting Working Group with research works for references for the references and assessments required based on the technology/focus areas
- To assess the emerging technology & business opportunities for new topics to find suitable Working Group placements.
- Ensures coordination between the group(s) for which she/he is responsible and other groups with overlapping interests, in particular in managing the complexity of co-located meetings and monitoring the links between standardization work accomplished in the different groups.
- To facilitate any special projects as required by the industry.
- coordinates activities and inputs within the WGs under his responsibilities, towards the implementation of the study (report/pilot/PoC)
- To be a liaison between, Working Groups and its stakeholders
- To maintain the stakeholders’ engagements by creating leads and funnel for membership drive
- Manage and coordinate Working Group’s participation and contributions in standardisation activities at the national, regional and international fora (Department of Standards Malaysia, APT, ITU, etc) to ensure the national views/interests are well represented
- Working closely value creation team to drive on the advocacy work
- Promotion of technical codes for adoption
- Collaborations/engagement with external parties
- To support the standardisation team in developing and review the relevant procedures and guidelines related to the development of technical codes, international meetings and related matters in order to ensure smooth process workflow and adherence to the standards and requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualification & Work Experience
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering/Computer Engineering/Electrical/Electronics or similar qualification
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in communications regulatory and technologies, project management, communication and stakeholder management.
- Required: Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, etc.)
- Fresh graduates are welcome.
- Direct experience in standards development and approval for communications equipment towards CMA 1998 and any relevant standardisation body, including is an advantage.
Technical Competencies/Skills
- Knowledge and experience in standards development
- Clear understanding of CMA 1998 and its subsidiary legislation
- Excellent cooperative behaviour with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinates activities and inputs, in the group under his/her responsibilities, to ensure consistency in process and adherence to the standards and requirements
- Time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks as well as work under own initiative.
- Communicates effectively with business stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative.
- Proven ability in standards writing, technical and administrative reports.
