“What If Connectivity Had No Limits?”

Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) successfully organised the Tech Talk & Technical Code Awareness Programme (TCAP) in conjunction with the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) 2026 at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya.

Carrying the theme “What if connectivity had no limits?”, the programme brought together industry experts, academia, government agencies, standards practitioners, and stakeholders to discuss emerging technologies and the evolving communications landscape towards a more secure, resilient, and future-ready digital ecosystem.

The programme featured a series of sharing sessions and panel discussions covering topics related to Satellite Communications, Internet of Things (IoT) Security & Privacy, Smart Mobility, Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X), and future connectivity technologies.

The event was officiated by the Chief Executive Officer of MTSFB, Pn. Normarinee Mohd Nor, who highlighted the growing importance of Technical Codes in supporting innovation, interoperability, cybersecurity, and industry readiness amid rapid digital transformation.

Among the key presentations delivered during the programme were:

  1. What if Nationwide Connectivity was Resilient through Satellite Systems?” presented by En. Zaaim Redha, Zeta IOS Sdn. Bhd.
  2. What if IoT Security and Privacy were Built into Every Connected Device?” presented by En. Muhammad Arman Selamat, CyberSecurity Malaysia
  3. From Security to Trust: Embedding IoT Privacy in Modern Networks” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Shahrafidz Khalid, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL)
  4. From Security to Reliability: Embedding Baseline Assessment in Consumer IoT Devices” presented by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Yusnani Mohd Yusoff, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)
  5. From Connectivity to Intelligence: Enabling Autonomous Mobility through C-V2X” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rudzidatul Akmam Dziyauddin, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)

Among the Technical Codes featured during the programme were:

  • MCMC MTSFB TC G056:2025 – Internet of Things (IoT) – Privacy Requirements
  • MCMC MTSFB TC G050:2025 – Internet of Things (IoT) – Baseline Security Assessment for Consumer Devices
  • MCMC MTSFB TC G049:2025 – Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) – System Architecture and Specifications

 

The programme also featured an engaging panel discussion session moderated by Mr. Pathmanathan Muniandy, Founder and CEO of Cre8 IOT Sdn. Bhd., allowing participants to exchange perspectives on future technology adoption, cybersecurity resilience, standards development, and connectivity challenges in Malaysia.

As part of the WTISD 2026 celebration, MTSFB also organised the InfoTrail Challenge digital campaign to encourage public participation and awareness on Technical Codes and emerging technologies through interactive online activities conducted via LinkedIn.
