MTSFB Showcases Standards Development at the 5G Broadcast Conference 2025

On 25th September 2025, the Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) proudly participated as an exhibitor at the 5G Broadcast Conference 2025, held at Dewan Persidangan, Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya.

With the theme “The Future is Now”, this pioneering event marks a significant milestone for Malaysia as the first country in ASEAN to explore 5G Broadcast technology through national test-bed initiatives. The conference brought together global and local industry leaders, including government agencies, broadcasters, telcos, and device manufacturers, to share insights and findings from the 5G Broadcast Test-bed sessions, featuring three innovative use cases.

At the MTSFB booth, visitors had the opportunity to learn about the Forum’s role in developing Technical Codes (TCs) that support the growth of the broadcast, communication, and multimedia industries in Malaysia. MTSFB also showcased the Industry Study Report on Future Broadcasting Technology, which outlines emerging trends, potential use cases, and the strategic direction for the nation’s broadcasting landscape in the 5G era.

Through its participation, MTSFB continues to highlight the importance of standards development in driving innovation, interoperability, and industry alignment towards Malaysia’s digital transformation.

The Forum remains committed to fostering collaboration among stakeholders, from regulators and service providers to technology innovators, in shaping a future-ready, standards-driven ecosystem for the communications and multimedia sectors.

MTSFB extends its appreciation to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for its leadership and support, as well as to all participating industry partners, broadcasters, and technology providers for contributing to the success of this landmark event.
