MTSFB Opens Nominations for Working Group Leadership 2026–2027

Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the Working Group (WG) leadership positions for the 2026–2027 term.

As the tenure of our current WG leaders comes to an end, we invite industry participants, experts, and members of the MTSFB community to take part in nominating the next generation of leaders who will continue advancing collaboration, innovation, and standardisation across Malaysia’s communications and multimedia sector.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The nomination of the leaders shall be from the registered MTSFB Member organisations with no outstanding fees.​

  • The expert shall possess relevant technical expertise and industry experience related to the WG’s subject area.​

  • The expert shall possess proven experience in developing or contributing to TCs, guidelines, or regulatory frameworks, or demonstrated involvement in MTSFB standardisation activities within the relevant WG for which the nomination is made.

  • Experience in serving as a draft lead, as well as participation in other national orinternational standards bodies, shall be considered an added advantage.

    • Vice Chair I (Industry)
    • Vice Chair II (Academia)

 

Leadership roles involve guiding technical discussions, supporting the delivery of work programmes, and representing the WG in relevant platforms.

MTSFB Working Groups

MTSFB currently operates 10 Working Groups, covering a broad range of technology and service areas.

The nomination period is open until 6 January 2026.
You may submit up to 5 nominees in one form.

  1. To develop IoT-related technical reports, guidelines, recommendations and standards.
  2. To work on Smart Sustainable Cities and 4th Industrial Revolution Technical Documents that are specific to IoT.

  4. To be involved in the IoT conferences and standards meeting such as ITU SG 20.
