MTSFB and MCMC Convene Industry Leaders at IPv6 Awareness Seminar

The Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB), in collaboration with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), successfully organised the IPv6 Awareness Seminar at the Auditorium, Level 21, MCMC Tower 1, Cyberjaya.

The seminar was officiated by YBrs. Encik Abdul Karim Fakir bin Ali, Managing Director of MCMC, and brought together representatives from government agencies, communications service providers, industry, academia and the technical community to strengthen awareness and accelerate Malaysia’s transition towards IPv6.

The programme featured a series of presentations and panel discussions focusing on Malaysia’s IPv6 Action Plan, the role of Technical Standards in supporting IPv6 implementation, and the country’s overall readiness for widespread IPv6 adoption.

Participants also exchanged insights on current implementation challenges, industry best practices and collaborative initiatives required to build a secure, scalable and future-ready digital ecosystem. The discussions underscored the importance of continued cooperation among regulators, industry players, standards bodies and academia in driving nationwide IPv6 adoption.

As the industry forum responsible for the development of Technical Codes under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, MTSFB remains committed to supporting Malaysia’s digital transformation by fostering collaboration and developing Technical Standards that facilitate the adoption of emerging technologies, including IPv6.
