PE: LMR Equipment & Communications Infrastructure Asset Management

Public Engagement session for two draft Technical Codes (TCs) developed by the Communications Terminal Working Group (CT WG) and Green ICT, Environment and Climate Change (GICT WG) was held on 10th September 2024 at MCMC Center of Excellence, Cyberjaya. This collaborative effort brought together experts and stakeholders from various sectors to review and provide feedback on the following draft TCs:

  • MTSFB2408R2, Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Equipment – Specifications
  • MTSFB2306R0, Communications Infrastructure Asset Management (CIAM)
 

The session featured insightful presentations led by En. Termizi Man from SIRIM QAS International and En. Mohd Azlan Zainudin from edotco. Their comprehensive overviews of the draft TCs sparked meaningful discussions and valuable input from attendees, further refining the TCs to meet industry needs.

  1. To develop IoT-related technical reports, guidelines, recommendations and standards.
  2. To work on Smart Sustainable Cities and 4th Industrial Revolution Technical Documents that are specific to IoT.
  3. To advise regulatory, legal and governmental bodies on IoT.
  4. To be involved in the IoT conferences and standards meeting such as ITU SG 20.
  5. To hold seminars on IoT standards and new emerging applications.
  6. To provide and create interoperability and conformance testing standards for IoT products.
