On September 4th, 2025, Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) through its Satellite Communications Task Force (SCTF), visited the Malaysia Space Agency (MYSA) in Putrajaya to explore potential collaboration in advancing the nation’s space and satellite communications initiatives.
The meeting aimed to foster closer cooperation between both organisations, aligning national efforts in satellite communications, space governance, and technological innovation. MTSFB invited MYSA to join the SCTF, with the possibility of leading one of its key project groups to drive focused initiatives under the national space and communications agenda.
Discussions also included MYSA’s involvement in the development and review of relevant Technical Codes (TCs), ensuring alignment with national policies and emerging technological trends. This collaboration will enhance Malaysia’s capacity in satellite communications and space sustainability.
Both organisations agreed to explore participation in joint events, conferences, and awareness programmes. MTSFB also invited MYSA to become an official member to deepen engagement and strengthen strategic collaboration.
The session concluded with mutual interest to co-organise “Tech Talk” sessions, where MYSA experts could share insights on the latest space and satellite technologies. The meeting marked a positive step toward a strategic partnership that will enhance Malaysia’s capabilities in satellite communications and contribute to the nation’s long-term space sustainability goals.
