MTSFB Holds Hybrid Public Engagement Session on Draft Technical Codes

The Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) successfully conducted a hybrid Public Engagement Session at Shaftsbury Asteria, Cyberjaya (iTech Tower) and via Zoom Meeting, gathering active participation from industry players, experts, and stakeholders across the communications and multimedia ecosystem.

The session provided an open platform for stakeholders to review and provide feedback on the latest draft Technical Codes (TCs) developed under the Communications Terminal (WG8) and Broadcast Technology (WG10) Working Groups.

The engagement featured four comprehensive briefings led by subject matter experts from industry and academia:

  1. Broadcast Network Facilities – Broadcast Receiving Headend System (Second Revision)
Presented by: Mr. Zulkarnain Hamidon (ASTRO), Broadcast Network Facilities Sub-Working Group (SWG)
  2. Free Space Optics – Specifications
Presented by: Prof. Razali bin Ngah (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia), Technical Code Draft Lead

An engaging Q&A session followed the presentations, where participants exchanged insights and constructive feedback to further enhance the relevance and clarity of the proposed standards. The discussions reflected strong collaboration and collective commitment towards strengthening Malaysia’s communications and multimedia framework.

MTSFB expressed its appreciation to all stakeholders, members, and participants who attended the session, both in person and online, for their valuable contributions and continued support in the development of industry standards.
