Standards Development Workshop for IMT & Future Networks

  • 4th - 6th March 2024

A standards development workshop to discuss 2 technical codes (TCs) for the IMT & Future Networks Working Group was organised on from 4 to 6 March 2024 at MTREE Hotel, Puchong. 

The workshop started with a series of knowledge sharing sessions and followed by the deliberation on the technical codes by the respective groups for the following TCs: 

  1. Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) System Architecture and Specifications
  2. End-to-End (E2E) Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) using Crowdsource Application Approach (First Revision) 

It was an enriching experience for all participants in sharing their expertise and experience from their respective organisations and getting the consensus on the updated and latest information to be included in the TCs. 

A sincere appreciation goes to all workshop participants for their time and dedication in developing the Technical Codes. Their contributions are instrumental in advancing industry standards, and the completion of these TCs is highly anticipated for the benefit of the communications and multimedia sector in the country.

  • Scope
  1. To develop IoT-related technical reports, guidelines, recommendations and standards.
  2. To work on Smart Sustainable Cities and 4th Industrial Revolution Technical Documents that are specific to IoT.
  3. To advise regulatory, legal and governmental bodies on IoT.
  4. To be involved in the IoT conferences and standards meeting such as ITU SG 20.
  5. To hold seminars on IoT standards and new emerging applications.
  6. To provide and create interoperability and conformance testing standards for IoT products.
