On 29 January 2024, members of the IMT & Future Networks (IFN) Working Group had the privilege of visiting MRANTI’s Autonomous Vehicle Experience Lab (AVXL) to gain deeper insights into the advancements in Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technology. The session facilitated in-depth discussions on the opportunities and challenges associated with AV development in Malaysia, particularly in relation to the standardisation of communications aspects within the AV ecosystem.
The engagement provided an invaluable platform for industry stakeholders to explore how emerging communications technologies can support the safe and efficient deployment of AV solutions in Malaysia. The IFN Working Group remains committed to fostering collaborations and regulatory advancements that will drive innovation and ensure seamless interoperability and safety standards for AV technologies.
Sincere appreciation is extended to the MRANTI AVXL team, including Ir. Kumaresan, Ts. Nora, Dr. Vimal, Dr. Noorfadzli, Maizura, YC, and the rest of the MRANTI team, for their warm hospitality and for providing valuable insights into key technical and regulatory aspects.
